About Us

The Flint Tennis Club has been a cornerstone of the local tennis community since 1922, offering social and competitive play, camaraderie, and the unique experience of Michigan’s last remaining natural clay courts.

In 2023 the club established the Flint Community Tennis Association (FCTA), a nonprofit organization committed to growing the game of tennis in Flint, Michigan. Through events, lessons, and community activities, the FCTA makes tennis accessible to everyone.

With over a century of history, the Flint Tennis Club and FCTA continue to unite generations through fitness, friendship, and the timeless joy of tennis.

Community Events

Celebrate tennis with fun, inclusive activities designed to bring people together and grow the game in Flint.

Group Lessons, Play & Practice

Available to ALL on Weds nights, Thurs. with potluck, and Saturdays. , May 17 through Sept 20 weather permitting.  Join the Club and have access to the courts every day of the week.

Private Lessons & Racquet Stringing

All Instructors and Volunteers are USTA SafePlay certified.

  • The club is open from April through October, weather permitting.

  • Guests are welcome to experience tennis on our clay courts, but memberships are encouraged for regular play and to access club amenities.

  • We offer lessons for all ages and skill levels, social mixers, leagues, tournaments, and weekly potlucks.

  • Yes! Our eight natural clay courts offer a unique playing experience that’s easier on the joints and perfect for all skill levels

  • Absolutely! Our USTA-certified instructors provide lessons for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

  • While we encourage players to bring their own equipment, we have limited racquets and balls available upon request.

  • Yes! We offer junior clinics, lessons, and family-friendly events to help kids learn and enjoy the game.
