USTPA Pro Bob has been a Flint tennis community mainstay, coaching Flint girls' and boys' high school teams.
In 2024, he coached Powers High School's freshman girls to an undefeated season. As a member of the FTC, he directs league play, tournaments, and events for the club. He frequently gives private and group lessons on the clay courts, working with players of all ages and abilities.
Bob helps players discern their individual goals—whether improving serves, adding more topspin to groundstrokes, or understanding fundamentals like the proper grip—allowing them to advance their play to the next level.

Paul offers racquet stringing and is a PTR Certified Tennis Coach. He tailors his teaching strategies to each player's needs, helping athletes of all levels enhance their skills and reach their potential on the court.
Paul’s passion for tennis began at a young age, and he shares this enthusiasm with his students, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the sport. Having played on the FTC clay courts as a youngster, he was hired in the summer of 2024 to assist with USTA programs and help maintain the courts and grounds.
Paul's goal is to inspire and motivate each player to excel both on and off the court, fostering a lifelong love for tennis.
Mark Madden
Volunteer USTA Safe Play Instructor
Mark has a passion for mentoring young people and tennis. He began his career as a teacher and coach at Atherton High School. Through his dedication to education, he became Principal and later Superintendent for Atherton, earning honors as Regional Coach of the Year and State of Michigan Hall of Fame Coach. Many of his student-athletes went on to play collegiate tennis.
Now enjoying retirement, Mark serves as an advisor to the Theta Chi Fraternity at the University of Michigan-Flint chapter.

USPTA Pro and USTA Net Gen Tennis Coach, as well as State of Michigan High School Hall of Fame Coach, Don brings his high energy, expertise, and love of the game to engage students of all ages. He values individual goals and helps players maximize their abilities.
As Head Coach of the Grand Blanc High School girls' and boys' teams, he has led his teams to 12 state finals, 6 regional championships, 4 divisional titles, and 14 conference championships.
Don is the manager of the Henry Ford Genesys Health Club Tennis Program and volunteers as an FTC Board Member.
